- Very drinkable indeed.
Very perfumy. The typically peachy bouquet of The Glenlivet seems to be accentuated.
Firm, medium to full, body. Very smooth. Rich and fruity, with slightly more peat than usual.
Silky, creamy tastes. Vanilla. Some, very restrained, burnt grass, dryness.
- The Glenlivet 12 has a light nose with hints of caramel,
vanilla, and oak. When tasting I pick up more of the same; no complexity here. However, there is something to be said for its
smoothness and lack of anything negative. Everything a successful whisky needs
to have can be found in the Glenlivet 12; just not in any quantity that would
make this drink stand out as being above average. Its finish is slightly bitter
and short. To sum up, this whisky is light, safe, and average in almost every
- One of my old time favourites. Allthough i am more in to islay peat nowadays, this one is still very enjoyable because of its balance and familiarity.
