This Caperdo is quite on the edge. The expected exotic blast is more likely to shine out when the bottle has remained unopened for a while, but most of the time, woodiness might take over, and fruit is burried under a thick layer of sweet spices and wood shavings.

Mulled wines, dried apricots preserved in honey syrup. Chestnut honey with a pinch of grey pepper. Quite some soft spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), and a little sawdust. Somewhat sweet and sour. Mango Chutney? Thick and quite satisfying, I must say.

Punchy and sweet at the same time. Quite oak driven, but remains pleasantly fruity and tasty, with loads of dried apricots. Chestnut honey again. Sultanas. Banyuls wine. Don't expect a big exotic blast, but rather some deep jammy feeling. Very enjoyable, but not of the same kind.

Gets more and more drying now, with quite some tannins.
