TASTING NOTE LMDW: Color: bright gold with slightly amber highlights. Nose: powerful, full-bodied. Carved in the rock, it is marked by citrus zest (grapefruit, orange), iris concret and black pepper. It is as captivating as it evolves on pine resin and vanilla-bourbon. As time goes by, the orange is juicier. Palate: sweet, round. Much more fruity than the nose, it immediately affirms its Speyside character made of herbaceous notes (green malt), walnuts, mirabelle plums and flowers (lavender, lilac) and evolves on licorice and moist earth, evoking almost oily peat. Final: rich, heady. The broom, clove, leather and dark chocolate confirm its inclination to rusticity. The coconut, the lavender honey and the fresh walnuts send us back to the edge of the black hill near which the distillery is located. The retro-olfaction is downy and the glass is empty apricot and floral (lilac).
