  1. Koning scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

This really is something else, quite a quirky and odd dram! I get the high scores and the low scores for this one, I am just averaging my own impression.
    • Nose
      87 87
It's got an almost sickly sweetness up front. Something like fermented fruits with a vegetal dimension, but also some shoe polish and rubber. This is followed by more classic notes of redcurrant jam, candied citrus fruits and a bit of chocolate and a sweet florality. Dried herbs and minerals develop in the background. A kind of wacky nose, but still enjoyable in its own sense.
    • Taste
      83 83
Oh, it get's 'difficult' now. The rubber takes the upper hand, piled up by musty and vegetal aromas. Some cranberry compote, papaya, bitter orange and apple ease the palate. Continues on leather, dark chocolate and bitter herbs. Wow, this wild. Swings between 80 and 88 points.
    • Finish
      89 89
The rubber quicky fades away into chocolate, citrus fruits, spices and a pinch of salty. It lingers long and juicy with a trace of smoke. The best part of this dram!
