Whisky Reviews for Laphroaig 13-year-old
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.11 points
- A vigorous Laphroaig, marked by its legendary peat but also with a good dose of oak. Behind this first curtain, is it coffee or chocolate? Sugar, and salt rub together wonderfully. A zest of orange or lemon? Lively and salty mouth. Finale with a big dose of salt and coffee, very long like any good self-respecting Laphroaig. 250th whisky tasted. To you, my son, Alban, who has just been born. Sláinte Mhath
- I`m not a big fan of jongish Laphroaig, mostly too much on ashy smoke and brine. But this is an exception. Smooth, pungent indeed, but yet delicate, very complex. Nicely clean and mineral profile, with more fruit than usual in these young Islayers of the South coast.
- This is a stunning Laphroaig. Really first order stuff.
Super pungent with germolene, calomine lotion, lemon juice in crab shells, castor sugar and some light tannins.
Amazingly citrusy for Laphroaig. Plenty of sugar and smoke, but extraordinarily refreshing.
Develops into the most amazing iodine-loaded, tannic, heathery gem.
