The color is pale straw and in the sea is in the nose, then briny, fresh, sweet and very clean, with fruits and (my favorite)  vanilla! The

taste has peat, peat and ...peat! And SALT! Also raspberry, vanilla, lemon, some pepper and ash; the finish is delicious and long, how nice!Comments: great whisky, with

2 x special thx to CJ and M!!

This is a Laffie as a
Laffie is supposed to be. Laphroaig fans will appreciate this bottling. But
hurry up, since only 80 bottles were created.
    • Nose
      The nose is fresh and
sweet, very much so, on lemon and vanilla with a pinch of mint. Quite some
ashes and sea weed. Sweet peat. A good dose of iodine. No surprises, but very
    • Taste
      The attack is
powerful with peat, white pepper and a lot of brine. Boy, this is salty! But
soooo good. Midpalate, the sweetness emerges. Liquorice, lemon and again
vanilla. Some ashes too. Actually, this is a confirmation of the nose.
    • Finish
      The finish is good
and long and makes you all fuzzy inside. Peat and pepper triumph.

Excellent Laphroaig, fully meets high expectations. Recommended for peatheads only. Thank you whiskybase for the sample.
    • Nose
Powerful, fresh and clean. The first smell of peat already reached my nostrils, when I began to pour a dram into my glass. Very peaty with medicinal notes and lemons of cause. Some creosote and a little linseed as well. Typical Laphroaig aromas and very satisfying, if you like peated whiskies.
    • Taste
Rich and bold with a lovely oily peaty aroma at first mouthfeel. There is some camphor as well on the palate and the creosote has moved to the fore. Everything else seems to be as expected from the nose. Lovely - I like it a lot.
    • Finish
Very long and extremely satisfying on peat and creosote.
