  1. sagara-kun scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

    Very nice Glen Scotia.
Not really complex, but an exceptional fondue which I only criticize for a caramel that is a little too present.
    • Nose
      87 87
Nose of orange peel, butter, almond paste, barley, and a good dose of honey. A bit of chemical caramel too, unfortunately, which takes away a few points.
      It sounds sweet, but generous.
    • Taste
      88 88
It is sweet on the palate, with well-integrated alcohol.
Vanilla comes out first, followed by scone, clove, wood, butter, and dry wood.
      It's simple but effective.
      Always a little caramel.
    • Finish
      88 88
The finish is on citrus peel. Orange, clementine, lemon.
Then the clove always, a little woody, pepper, and a nice dose of minty/peppery freshness.
