  1. JoshNRW scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

I can't quite understand the low average price and explain it to myself by the probably high purchase price.
The whisky may not seem quite as old as it actually is, and it's not a monster of complexity either.
But it is still a very fine, very delicious drop without any off-notes and with beautiful aromas.
    • Nose
      90 90
The nose is intense, lots of bourbon - it's probably a refilled, intense barrel.

Behind that, however, come a bunch of different fruits: quince, apricot, mirabelle plums, maybe even some pineapple.
Everything is still very lively, hardly any wood is perceptible due to the intense fruit sweetness.
    • Taste
      89 89
It's a bit more bitter and rustic on the palate, which is nice.
There's also a touch of wood. Fewer citrus notes here compared to the nose. Instead, more sweetness, barley sugar, hay, and oily almonds.
    • Finish
      90 90
      89.5
The mouthfeel is a dream, just under 44 percent and 32 years old, without any off-notes - it's very pleasant, dense and oily.

The finish is long, clean, and sweet.
