  1. HammerHead scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

Very impressive and easily the best Littlemill I've had to date. Needs some time in the glass though, I'd say at least half an hour to 45 minutes. It's got all the common Littlemill bits and pieces but some are amplified to quite an extreme level. It's got a clear bitterness to taste and finish (to which I'm normally very sensitive), but it's not tannic at all. On the contrary, this is pure sparkling fruit bitters.

Complex: floral and vegetal, almost like flowers without the petals, quite fruity, but not knocking you over, pineapple, peach, apricot and tropical citrus. Very heavy grain notes: breakfast serial, sugarbread, cookie dough, vanilla and a little honey. Also a mildly dusty fresh wood note with subtle green tea in the background.

Stunning: oily and syrupy, multiple layers of sweetness, a mouth coating fruitiness, pineapple, apricot, distant pear and a little grapefruit. Mild wood spices, vanilla, some ginger and a faint peppery note.
    • Finish
      92 92
Beautiful and quite long: clear vanilla, thick and again syrupy, biscuits, ending with a little woodspice and a very pleasing sparkle of bitter citrus.
