Bottler: Signatory Vintage
Removal: Sherry Cask (Butt) no. 9423
Region: Highlands, Scotland
Nose: raisins, sherry, sweet cherries and dried raspberries, really fruity and despite the strength no alcohol. In addition beeswax, malt and a little oak. Roasted nuts, tobacco and toward the end a note of cocoa condenses.
Palate: Very intense, chili chocolate, raisins and rum, sugar syrup. Here sweetness and spice mix really well and are still nice to distinguish. Cinnamon, coffee and dry oak, stimulates salivation.
Finish: Long and spicy, dried fruit and a lot of cinnamon, with dark chocolate, coffee and cocoa beans. Behind it different wood tones as well as leather.
Conclusion: Wow, that's really good, much better than his sister barrel No. 9422 (van Wees).
