...during a quick tasting, we didn't really like it ("us"), because in the conversations afterward, we could say it was a "so-so" bottle. Now, in the comfort of our own home, alone, it's different. The fact is, it tastes better than the nose suggests. It's not the pinnacle of sensory experiences, but it's a decent sip. As I mentioned above - dessert-like, but with character. I am - now - satisfied.
    • Nose
...light... It seems that way, but in the left nasal passage, because in the right it's a bit of a whiff. It's malty, a bit yeasty. I have a feeling this isn't a complicated product. It's delicately fruity, which qualifies this bottle as a dessert bottle. I'll check out the empty one – it's sweetish, cookie-like, like a bun with a vanilla custard filling. And this bun is sweetened with honey. A light nut bar on white chocolate. Fruit jelly, or fruit mousse. I think it's better here than in the full-bodied one, so now I'm going back to the full-bodied one. The fruit is perhaps a dessert apple and a bit of spice. Considering the overall aroma, there's no point in writing paeans here. It smells decent, though nothing mind-blowing.
    • Taste
...it tastes of red dried fruit. Burnt bread crust, toast with honey. Warm spices, slightly bitter, slightly stinging. The liquid is delicately creamy, a bit soapy, turpentine-like. It all ends with a tart, wine-barrel note. Another attempt, herbal pepperiness, black gummy candies with licorice. The oak wood reveals a cinnamon burn. I still consider it a dessert whisky, but with "character." Another attempt—nothing has changed. Creamy, spicy, but kept in check. The finish is sharp, like cherries soaked in spirit. Tart, winey, and barrel-aged. It must be admitted—the flavor holds its own.
    • Finish
...too long to be "medium" and too short to be "long." More tart than sweet, with a dry, herbal aftertaste. Slightly spicy and oaky (barrel-aged).
