  1. Totoro scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

What's with the two kittys on the label? Two casks of undisclosed Clynelish? Perhaps ones that fell under 40 percent, boosted to 41,1% with the help of a minuscule amount of grain?
    • Nose
      90 90
A nice mix of bright, vibrant, fruity-fresh flavors and waxy, old-age aromas. Apricot, orange blossom, some florals, exotic woods, mint, perhaps even eukalyptus, certainly some beeswax. I don't get much grain, if any, on the nose.
    • Taste
      89 89
I'm still unsure if I'm getting any grain – if there really is some in here, it certainly only plays only a supporting role, with the malt in the foreground. Citrus, oak spice, sandalwood, highly mineralic seltzer, a mild but palpable impression of tropical fruit, and a drop of herbal honey. It's a bit thin, but presents some really nice flavors.
    • Finish
      88 88
Drying, tart, citric, with a touch of charcoal and/or woodsmoke.
