It has a structure that conveys Dornoch's typical agave-like and waxy character without being overly flashy. Unfortunately, the slightly excessive nettle note is a drawback. However, considering the desired RRP (Return to Life) and the experience it offers, it's not a bottle I'd hesitate to buy if I found it on the shelf.

    Price-performance ratio: (Estimated RRP) Good
Would I buy it again?: I would buy it from RRP.
    • Nose
      87 87
Full of fresh red apple, mandarin with seeds, powdered sugar, honeyed oatmeal, and a hint of wax. A light, leafy green. Buttery cookies. Very subtle menthol and bergamot zest. A very subtle lactic undertone. Almond cookies. Flourishness. Dynamic youthfulness. A hint of bourbon charcoal. A full and delightful nose.
    • Taste
      87 87
On the palate, medium-high sweetness. The burning is borderline, Earl Grey, with a distinct zest of bergamot, orange, and grapefruit. Nice, full-bodied flavor. A hint of vanilla. Hard candy. Confit orange peels. Hazelnut paste. A slight wax. Honey. Lemongrass. A hint of white bread. It feels like it could handle a little dilution. Diluting it actually works; the orange notes deepen, and the burning is completely toned down.
    • Finish
      86 86
The finish is subtle, with hints of black pepper and plenty of agave. Pine resin and a slight bitterness. Green grapes. A long finish, medium intensity. Honeycomb; wax and honey mingle. Light cardamom and red apple compote. Here, it almost irritates the palate like an overly carbonated beer; water can calm that. Diluting definitely helps, the beeswax and citrus notes are better expressed, and the burning sensation is toned down.
