    04/05/2025 - 30 ml + 20 ml with ice

Terrible value for money compared to real bourbons, and here in Brazil there are few bourbon options. I believe they should use new barrels to get that bourbon feel, but the wood notes seem like they're from an old, tired barrel, if I'm mistaken.

Leaves, fresh greens, cereals, grain whiskey although the burning sensation is not strong. Vanilla and young barrel. I would like to extract more, but the smell of grain alcohol predominates. Almost oily appearance, hence the potential. Dry hay, macadamia nuts, yeast, wet grass, fresh soil and barley flour with weevils. A light ketone, I don't think it's bourbon, but the alcohol's base cereal could be corn, who knows?! [blind test, without revealing the label]

With water it became sweeter due to the release of vanilla, but more vinegary, in addition to reducing those cereal alcohol esters. It became more pleasant, but the burning sensation was still almost strong.

The label revealed, let's go to the ice: dry hay, in fact the ketone is very light and is not typical of American bourbons. Cherry wood furniture and that's it.

Sweeter than on the nose, bearable spiciness, but has less of a grain alcohol smell and more of a barrel taste. Not very young wood tannins, vanilla, caramel. Green, leathery leaves, but grain alcohol is here, omnipresent. Some seasoning and dried fruit. Light ketone same as aroma.

With water it is sweet, honey, vanilla, caramel, cooked fruit, but now you can see more of the definitely old wood. The bearable spiciness and grain whiskey taste remain.

With ice, only old wood and fermented vanilla.

Medium, semi-sweet, semi-tannic. Almost old wood, light ketone, grains, alcohol (just the taste) and cooked vegetables.
