Even if the nose doesn't seem so shockingly young after the first sip, I still think that this Fèis bottling didn't really need to be bottled in this form. At least not yet, because given the very poor quality of the nose, it seems to me as if it isn't quite ready yet. And I don't even want to try to compare it with 12 CS batches from the past.

Fresh grass clippings, kiwi, gooseberry, pear, cold (ashtray) smoke, lemon peel, slightly metallic - so far, so good, up to this point it could also pass as a very young Ardbeg. It is very sharp on the nose, you can practically smell the relatively high alcohol content.
    • Taste
      86 86
Surprisingly sweet start, no longer alcoholic at all. The smoky note is still not warm, but at least the ashtray feeling has disappeared. Vanilla cream, marzipan and pine honey, a little resin, raisin bread, gooseberry jam, Williams pear. Now there is a certain warmth in the mouth, then calm, dry wood - then just smoke.
    • Finish
      83 83
Short finish with cold smoke, pear juice, fresh grass clippings and a little almond butter.
