  1. anter scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Pleasant distillate character, explosive esteriness. I think the Weihenstephaner comparison in the official tasting notes is spot on. Its long finish and full body are surprising, especially when you drink it with the knowledge of the dilution. It's a very enjoyable whisky, but not as calm as I expected, offering a very full experience.

    Price performance: Very good!
Would I buy it again?: I don't regret buying it. Even though I wasn't specifically looking for it, it's still very enjoyable to experience.
    • Nose
      85 85
Lots of esters on the nose, young banana, coriander, tangerine. Ripe yellow fruits. Apricot. Lightly toasted toast. Light florality. Loquat plums. Perhaps a very light caramel or honey note over time. Green apple and kiwi. Light spicy base. Perhaps curry or poudre à Colombo. Fennel seeds. The spice and maltiness on the nose increase over time. A bit too pungent for its degree, but a full, complex, and enjoyable nose.
    • Taste
      85 85
A slightly above-medium body on the palate. Green grapes, kiwi, and green apple. The aroma continues. Lemons are present. A warming rather than pungent quality. Medium-low sweetness. Quince. Light acidity. A winey quality like white wine. Coriander and fennel seeds continue. A remarkably fresh palate.
    • Finish
      86 86
The spices rise towards the finish, and a very light bitterness supports the herbalism of the coriander, while black pepper begins to be felt. A delightful finish that's medium-long, perhaps even long. Grapefruit peels. Lime peel, combava perhaps. The bitterness is easily felt at the end, but it reaches a level that doesn't bother me too much. Green plums. A truly full and enjoyable finish.
