  1. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

interesting whisky. Shy nose, aromatic taste and then pretty quickly gone. Actually one to drink and not to nose. But maybe the Rosebank used to be. Is not all made for us nerds. Definitely an experience.
    • Nose
Caraway, bright fruit, only very subtle, rather a little fennel tea, a slight floral sweetness in the background, a little oak. Over time, it becomes sweeter, a light citrus freshness is added, the spices are in the background, the fruits are slightly more effective.
    • Taste
very soft and oily, incredibly oily, a nice spice, some dusty oak notes. Great mouthfeel and in contrast to the shy nose a surprisingly powerful and full aroma.
    • Finish
Tart oak, some fruit, but rather subtle.

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Light and simple triple distillation moths, dry enough, bitter-grassy, generally do not cause rejection, despite the minimum strength, it has some depth and saturation, there is no feeling of emptiness and wateriness.
    • Nose
Light, airy, flower-honey, lemon peel, lollipops, light oak notes, lemonade.
    • Taste
Soft, oily, sweet spicy oak, crusts of oranges and grapefruit, cream, herbal bitterness, astringent oak notes.
    • Finish
      Continuation of taste, soft, sweet with bitter taste, herbs - wormwood, thyme, mint;

  3. St. Pauli scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

    Colour: white wine
    An interesting aperitif whisky.
    • Nose
      84 84
The Rosebank signatory boiled sweets and icing sugar nose, followed by tinned peach. The wood has given some coconut and a hint of vanilla, and also some more weighty notes of sawdust. Further: husks and mint.
    • Taste
      84 84
Medium bitter from the wood, with pepper and ginger. It's followed by tropical fruit, grapefruit and waxy barley. It's almost like the whisky version of a sauvignon blanc.
    • Finish
      82 82
Rather short and fading, on rose water, grapefruit and husks.

  4. Cubey666 scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Nice soft delicate nose. A bit parfum like, with wild flowers and field honey. On the taste very subtle and smooth.
    delicate finish.

Interesting peated version. At blind taste I would have said Highland Park or Mortlach.

  9. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Shows the eigtl. Rosebank character quite well, has some variety and is qualitatively really good.
    • Nose
Very fresh nose, flower meadow intense, cotton candy, caraway, vanilla and some fennel tea, some apricot and lemon are also included, a touch of young oak, ginger, papaya
    • Taste
Very soft first, oily, cumin comes again, white pepper, vanilla, caramel, light honey, yellow pear, grassy notes and floral, cotton candy, candies and some tea
    • Finish
Now comes oak, the apricot stays slightly with the core, light malt and some pepper, medium long

  10. Defeatless scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

    Nose:
Delicate, floral, honey and some citrus. Rather delicate I must say

    Taste:
Sweet, sugarsweet, hint of caramel. Touch of lime, a bit of wood.

    Body:
    Medium

    Finish:
short-medium length. This is a bit chalky in the beginning. Then some honey, citrus and woodchips.

    Price:
Well for drinkers: don't buy if over €35,-

    Presentation:
Don't know this was a sample
