First of all, the color of the wine is golden yellow, very light, almost the color of raw Pu'er tea soup; it smells very young wine, with obvious flavors of vanilla and cream, and unexpectedly, there is a very good smell of the ocean, shells, sea breeze, etc., Grass, moss, etc., there is almost no smell of sulfur, and it feels very clean: the entrance is very oily, and the flavor is a bit light, almond, vanilla, or some seawater, salty.

    Interesting but rather ordinary.
    • Nose
The nose is sweet, woody and dusty at the opening, then gains in floral freshness with aeration.
    • Taste
On the palate, it is grassy and on peach. First time that I drink a Glendronach so little sherry, the 43% still deliver a certain power, the in-between is pleasant. A little roasted nuts on the finish. A few scents of bergamot cream if I intellectualize a max.
    • Finish
Woody and spicy finish, youth? A bit short.

Easy, gentle and quaffable Glendronach. Very different in comparison with current expressions.
    • Nose
Fruity nose with redcurrants and raspberries. I also got baked bananas. Scented cream toffee. Hints of fresh cedar oak. Followed with some flowery notes and cut grass.
    • Taste
Now more on yellow apples, apricots and juicy melon. Tropical fruit of papaya, grapefruit and kiwi as well. Later on some roasted nuts. Shortbread and pecan pie. It's all very gentle and soft.
    • Finish
Medium long. Crisp with balancing nutty dryness from chewy oak. A little cinnamon at the end.

  5. Kensay scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Lucky with the bottle, the whisky was perfectly preserved. Gorgeous nose, fresh, with notes of ripe apple and pear, meadow grass and a little honey. Most likely, bourbon barrels dominated in the blend, but sherry notes are also present. It is difficult to judge the body, the degree dipped significantly
