It doesn't offer much beyond what is on the label, but it doesn't make mistakes either. The nice and full Oloroso notes ensure that expectations are met, but there is no extreme complexity or surprise factor in particular. Good nonetheless. I don't think the RRP is €100, €60-80 would be the right price range for this bottling.

    Price performance: Medium.
Would I buy it again?: I don't think so, it's not very special.
    • Nose
Nuts with hazelnuts, pistachios and cashews. Light orange peel and dried apricots. Raisins and prunes are evident. A clean and beautiful, typical and full Oloroso nose. Light oak spice develops over time. A musky, perfumed side. Liqueur cherry. Forest fruit and sour cherry sauce. Almond paste and a slightly solventy side. Fresh nectarine and apricot open over time. White peach. Cinnamon brown sugar and caramel crystals. A smooth nose.
    • Taste
Medium sweetness. Lots of tobacco added to the nose. Old wood. A little bitter. Black pepper and cinnamon here but cinnamon is more dominant. Dark red fruits; red plum and sour cherry. Dates maybe. Almond paste. Maraschino cherry again. Just after the sweetness passes, the spices especially explode. Clove maybe in the background. Dried figs. It offers what is expected, good.
    • Finish
Very light astringency, nice spiciness with cinnamon sticks at the forefront. Very light bitterness. Liqueur cherry again. Dried figs and maybe dates. Winey. Light nutmeg. A slightly longer than medium length, quite intense finish. Good.
