Whisky Reviews for Glenturret 1998 GM
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.76 points
- A little atypical glenturret, had to get used to it. but the last time we had him on the table he was nice in the glass.
- Nose is a bit pungent, floral with a lot of alcohol.
Same when tasted neat. With some water more Sherry sweetness comes up and makes it a very pleasant dram.
Not very complex. A young whisky but nice to have in my collection
- This is a very very floral dram.
A nice dram but a little bit one dimensional.
Nose gives the sense of sherry, glue, wood
varnish, fingernail polish or paint thinner. Additionally, some notes of dried
fruits, prune compote, cherry in spirit, dark chocolate, honey, hot spices, delicate
smoke and malted barley.
It seems perfectly sweet, but also aggressive
and young. Additionally, hints of hints of pepper, it is lightly salty, full of
root spices and eventually a little dry and hot.
Very long, hot with hints of black pepper.
Additionally, smooth with sweetness to it
- Very fruity, with different tones in taste and finish!
Spicy, grassy, malty
Little peppery, red fruit, warm, wax, sweet.
A lovely soft feeling, like a very distinguished, expensive whisky!
Complex and rather fruity. Balanced
