  1. KIMCHIBaby scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

    Interesting, but lacks flavor.
Perhaps it’s due to the use of obscure sherry casks, but the flavor is curious and fun, though it feels incomplete.
This style of light sherry whisky doesn’t seem to suit my palate.

      N) Onion, Green Onion Oil, Vanilla, Pineapple, Raw Chestnut, Milk (Cheese), Wood

The aroma is not to my taste. It strongly reminds me of the Miyagikyo Distillery, with prominent notes of onion and green onion oil.
There’s a distinct vanilla sweetness paired with the scent of firm, raw chestnuts. A sharp pineapple tartness and the pungent aroma of dairy products like milk or cheese also come through.
Additionally, there’s a subtle woody note that evokes the feeling of being in a forest. The vanilla overpowers the sherry characteristics in this whisky.

      P) Green Grape, Plum, Nutty, Red Bean, Apricot, Lemon

The overall profile is bright and fruity. It tastes more like it was matured in a white wine cask rather than sherry.
Perhaps due to the use of a Fino & PC Casks, there’s a nutty flavor reminiscent of red beans, combined with the tartness of underripe plums and apricots.
While it’s unique, the taste doesn’t leave a strong impression.
    • Finish
      85 85
      F) Nutty, Chestnut, Vanilla, Apricot, Green Grape

Nutty flavors, roasted chestnuts, and hints of red bean dominate initially, with vanilla making a brief appearance.
However, the vanilla quickly fades, giving way to the tangy notes of underripe apricots and slightly sour green grapes. The finish is short, leaving something to be desired.
