  1. KIMCHIBaby scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    A true double-edged sword
Its strengths and weaknesses are both very clear.
    • Nose
      85 85
Alcoholic Burn, Raw Dough, Pineapple, Dried Saliva, Starfruit, Cactus
      "What is this?"
A fairly aggressive alcoholic burn. Behind the alcohol, there’s an aroma reminiscent of raw dough drizzled with pineapple juice. What is this… As you keep nosing, a bizarre note like dried saliva also appears. Focusing only on the positives, you can find the tartness of starfruit and a cactus-like aroma, but the problem is that those pleasant notes don’t come through on their own.
    • Taste
      88 88
Berries, Strawberry, Cactus, Melon, Raspberry, Spicy
      "Spicy, but full of strengths"
Honestly, the off-notes on the nose lowered my expectations, but the palate is far better than expected. It’s still quite spicy, but in return you get explosive fruitiness and juicy flavors of berries, strawberry, and melon. The presence of refreshing notes like cactus and melon is especially intriguing.
If you can just endure the alcoholic heat…!
    • Finish
      87 87
Onion, Dark Chocolate, Plum, Berries, Grape Jam

      "Spicy, yet clearly sweet"
The spiciness comes through very directly. After that, bitterness from dark chocolate appears, followed by the tartness of plum, and then the thick sweetness of berries and grape jam. It’s an all-rounder in terms of flavors, but the heat is a bit overpowering. Still, it’s an entertaining finish.
