Conclusions. Cool and very tasty drink. An atypical delicate cask strength product. Light, harmonious and surprisingly fresh. Filigreely arranged. I don’t have a single comment, everything was so well made from what this barrel and alcohol allowed. However, the magnificence provided for a 30-year-old whisky is not quite enough to rate it in the highest category. Score 88
    • Nose
Aroma: mature, persistent, super smooth with perfectly integrated alcohol. An abundance of light sweet fruits (overripe apricots, bananas, duchess), mixed with a variety of fruit candies, as well as aged Calvados, forest honey, vanilla, a little creamy toffee, delicate floral shades against the background of candies, delicate woody-spicy motifs. All this creates a feeling of abundant freshness, which is quite unexpected for a whisky over 30 years old. As a fact, an extremely rare style and profile. Sophisticated and very textured with a cool integration of layers, despite the apparent one-sidedness. Very nice
    • Taste
Taste: slightly peppery, but not at all aggressive. Soft, quite buttery, moderately sweet, honey, a little bit of creamy toffee and fruit candies, Duchess, Calvados, floral perfume, burnt sugar, delicate spicy-woody notes, traces of tobacco ash. What’s good is that oak, despite 30 years of aging, has virtually no negative effect on the taste. The balance is perfect. Of course, it is good, but in comparison with the aroma it is less bright.
    • Finish
Finish: medium length, soft and warm, sweet-spicy, fruity candy, Calvados, burnt sugar, delicate woody notes, restrained dryness at the end.
