This would’ve been a decent dram if not the pungency on nose. Recommend adding a few drops of water even before nosing. Palate is the most intriguing part, overall, it’s very fruity like other batches, but the musty grain completely blew my mind off as I don’t usually taste that unless the bottle age is 10+ yrs old.
    Colour: Bright copper. Light legs.

    81-85 - Another dram welcomed

Fresh fruits. Buttery oak. Fresh honey. Morning cereals. A whiff of turmeric. Moderately pungent, resembling young grain whiskies and that’s masking out other potential flavours. Drops of water do help clear away the mist to reveal white peaches and an odd hint of musty grains.

Fruit bomb: peaches, red apples, white pears, melon. Fiery black pepper. Spicy oak. Fairly malty. Then again, a touch of musty grain, very odd. We all know Loch Lomond never hesitate to experiment, perhaps they have vatted a bit of really old stock into this? Very interesting.

Mid finish. After a burst of spices, what’s left is fruit sweetness & a touch of malt lingering, slowly drying.
