    • Nose
From the outset this nose makes me think of an Octomore, maturing in wine barrels. It's perfectly smoky, on an intense soot. When the title contains this notion of Red Wine... my alert system is triggered automatically, but I must say that until then, its fruity side, greedy on the orangettes, enchants me. In the background, we have this BBQ aspect, grilled bacon, a bit of this saltiness, also rather typical of other regions of Scotland. It really makes you want.
    • Taste
Very nice power, without violence, but marked well as it should be. The peat retains this touch of soot, it is deep and intense. Then the mouth will slowly dry up, but on this side, in the same way, it is very measured. A bit woody and again this salinity very close once again to an Octomore and this is just one example. The orange will gain in bitterness, accompanied by red fruits, honey, peppery spices, perhaps even spicy.
    • Finish
The final length is very suitable. There remains a little of all the flavors, of all the perfumes. It seems more tenuous, more delicate. Peat and salt on one side, spicy fruitiness on the other. Compared to the Bottles & Legends version, of course we are on a very different spirit, because of this finish, but overall, I find that it still respects the initial product, which is faithful to the philosophy from the Scottish bottler.
