Conclusions. I really liked the scent. I can't say the same about the taste. Score 86
    • Nose
Aroma: divided into two phases, short and long. Moderately alcoholic and slightly harsh at first, accompanied by soft smoke, cooled peat ash, burnt sugar, pleasant fruity notes (ripe green apples and peaches), sweet candy, as well as vanilla, cinnamon and citrus. This stage is quite short (until the receptors are saturated with alcohol), and the smoked component is noticeably more intense than the unsmoked one. Then comes a long and much more delicate phase. The aroma becomes quite closed, the alcohol is almost unnoticeable, the fruit and bourbon sweetness almost disappear, but light shades of dust and dry roadside tart-spicy grass appear, a little sugar syrup, traces of sweetish gentle smoke combined with faint fumes of motor oil. Once sipping begins, only the second phase actually works. Definitely informal and at the same time very pleasant.
    • Taste
Taste: as befits the classic character of Kulila, in comparison with the aroma it is hotter-spicier, more smoky and brighter in the peat part. Moderately peppery combined with a balancing syrupy sweetness, cinnamon, smoked meats, candy, dense smoke of cooling peat ash, moderately hot spices. At the end, earthy-mineral shades under a smoky veil combined with a slight bitterness of burnt sugar. The bourbon cask is quite decent, but unlike the aroma, it is much more concentrated on the peat component than it should be.
    • Finish
Aftertaste: long, moderately ash-peaty, slightly sweet, smoked, slightly hot spices, weak mineral motifs, burnt sugar with slight bitterness.
