  1. Raistlinmejere scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

A very standard high-aged bourbon barrel whisky. There is no particularly eye-catching magical flavor and expression, and it may even be a bit boring. However, all the common shortcomings (such as heavy oak flavor, spicy taste, alcohol, too much tannin in the end rhyme, etc.) have been avoided. It is also pleasant enough, easy to drink, and has good complexity. A barrel model without any shortcomings.

    • Nose
      91 91
The alcohol is well suppressed and the expression is relatively open. It is a very standard ripe yellow apple juice, sweet apricots, big pears, a little sweet orange, full of honey, a little butter icing and white bread, and finally some green apples and crisp dates. There is basically no wood tone, only a slight amount of pepper and some fruit soda in the middle and back.
    • Taste
      89 89
The alcohol is well suppressed. The overall performance is highly consistent with the aroma. A pleasant temperate fruit soda, mixed with yellow and green apples, large pears, sweet apricots and sweet oranges, with honey and ice cubes. In the middle and back, there is a clear gentle spice with a little pepper and young ginger, and the smell of sweet orange with skin is slightly enhanced in the middle and back.
    • Finish
      89 89
The mouth is surrounded by orange flesh with skin, and the middle of the mouth is a moist woody tone with a waxy texture mixed with a little mineral. The back section gradually dries up, showing a small amount of orange peel oil and some pepper, a little bit of tobacco, and some salivation. Strong strength and medium length.
