For me, this is a clear 85 and simple standard. For the money I prefer the Glendronach 12 though.
The texture of the first nose is very oily and characterized by simple sherry aromas, unfortunately there is also a lot of tartaric acid at the beginning, but it is rather soft and fades into the background over time. The young age isn't all that weak in the glass, as only 44.1 percent is involved here and because the distillate is very good, but overall the aromas are fairly simple and not complex at all.
The start is still quite youthful and a bit lively. As the first dram of the evening, it won't bring many friends, because the taste buds are still relatively sensitive. The following sips are already much more pleasant but unfortunately still with a good portion of tartaric acid in the simple sherry aromas. The Oloroso is easy to identify here, but I personally prefer PX to simple sherry malts because it's not as acidic.
It gets a little better with every sip. Maybe it can improve with time in the bottle and several drams in a row, but I only had a 4cl sample and it didn't score 86 today.
The mouthfeel is not really thin, but not really bulky either. The finish is almost medium and the texture is consistently clean.
