    • Nose
      92 92
Nose – Extremely dense. Burnt rubber. Very tightly packed at first. However, with some airing and swirling, it gradually opens up.

Peaty. Berries. Ume plum. Apple… quite sherried.

Overall, it’s excellent. It feels like an old sherry profile layered with an intense peatiness. The balance is just right, with the peat sitting around a 5:5 to 6:4 ratio against the sherry.

If it were any stronger, the peat would completely dominate, but here it’s kept just below that point, maintaining a solid balance.
    • Taste
      93 93
Palate – Intense peat. Berries. Ume plum. Apple. Ashy notes. Very powerful.

Sweet and slightly tart, making it very enjoyable. Malty character with a touch of oiliness and a hint of waxiness.

      Extremely intense and delicious.

Among all the peated sherry whiskies I’ve tried so far, this might be the best.
    • Finish
      92 92
Finish – Strawberry-like medicinal note, burnt tones, and ash.

The ashy character is especially strong and lingers for a long time.
