Whisky Reviews for Springbank 175th Anniversary
6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.02 points
- I drank this just before the Arran Devil's Punch Bowl III and the Springbank won hands down, so much more complex. No fancy packaging but the whisky speaks for itself. A great dram!
- As I`m emptying the bottle, I would say my tasting note written 10 months ago, is consitent. Just a little more spices added to the aroma.
- Malty and fruity aroma, red apples, ripe
orange, smoke, vanilla, honey, peaches and liqourice. Vanilla sweet
taste, anise, ginger, eucalyptus, pepper, vanilla, smoked salmon,
limonade, malt and soft tannins. Medium long, peaty, malty and floral
- I expected more from an anniversary malt from the guys at Springbank. For the money, the 15 or the 18 are the way to go.
Sweet apples. Vanilla and spicy oak. Honey. Polyurethane.
Spicy and sweet. More bite than I would expect from a 46% ABV (in a good way). Caramel apples. Some cinnamon, and more honey. Smoke toward the end.
Honey and kitchen spices. Brine. Soft peat. Ends with smoke, and some oak. After a few minutes, a salty aftertaste (again, in a good way).
