An incredibly harmonious whisky that can without a doubt be called a sherry bomb. A great example of excellent cask selection!
    BUT!
This whisky needs time in the glass. Let him breathe for at least 30 minutes. He doesn't really need water. If at all, then only 1-2 drops. Try it.
This whisky can keep you entertained for an entire evening.
    • Nose
      89 89
After about 30 min: A hint of smoke, not medicinal, but rather ashy. The smoke envelops dried fruits. Raisins, apricots, plums and a sweet mon cheri cherry shine through.
    • Taste
      90 90
Again dark fruits with a hint of smoke. Sweet, overripe cherries, raisins and roasted almonds, but also juicy strawberries are noticeable. Personally, I don't notice any sulphur, but I do notice a slight note of lovage/maggi, which I really appreciate. That's why the whisky in the back of the tongue seems to me to be quite meaty.
    • Finish
      91 91
The finish is medium to long in my opinion. Immediately after swallowing, a gush of red gummy bears flashes. It then turns into a delicate milk chocolate. Hardly any bitterness in the finish either, but rather a spicy note. The roasted almonds stay a little longer.
