He is probably not that young, could be good from Ireland. Sweetsy whisky whisky. 83 points
    • Nose
Fruits and vitamin C sweets. After a little life significantly richer. Warms ditto.
    • Taste
Rather watery, then time-delayed a quite adequate start, again fruits and vitamin C sweets, clear acidity, slightly sugary, hardly bitterness behind.
    • Finish
The finish is not quite short again, on the tongue remains only a slight harshness, but it warms up significantly.

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Quite a mole, fairly dense and saturated for a 10-year-old, a very worthy aroma, not without grudges, but generally pleasant and relatively deep; the taste / finish is simpler, but also arouses interest - it's quite such a challenger for the title of "whisky for every day" in your bar, if you find it at an attractive price.
    • Nose
Open, dry, begins herbal notes, dry and fresh field grasses in the style of Inchgover, the darkness comes first processed oak, oily hues - fat, used frying oil, fried potatoes; dried fruits, old wooden furniture, pipe tobacco.
    • Taste
Woody-oily, sour-sweet with peppercorn, lemon peel, lollipops, tart oak, then the same herbs with which the fragrance began, well.
    • Finish
Spicy, sweet-oak, warming, notes of fruit candied fruits, grapefruit crust, burnt crackers, candied ginger, medicinal herbs.

A really tasty drop. Blindly, I thought he was an armor.
    • Nose
Slightly smoky, red fruits, roasted hazelnut, burned straw, peach, slightly malty
    • Taste
Oak, smoke, red fruits, burnt straw, sour apple, leather, slightly bitter, malty
    • Finish
Medium to long, first smoky and slightly bitter then sweet

This was a really nice dram. It wasn't over the top in terms of complexity, but was very approachable and not harsh at all. The aging also made the peat influence quite mellow and subtle which worked well with the profile. Would very much like to see what this would be like straight from the cask.

Dry grass. Salty toffee. Citrus peel. Light peat.
    • Taste

    2014

N: Single malt calibre blend with good amounts of oak showing and flavourful nutty maltiness too.
T: The palate is true to the nose with an impressive solid delivery. Super balance between bitter/sweet & oak/spirit but its the oak complexity which is most evident, especially here on the tongue. So grainy is the development its as though one is licking the insides of the dry, rough oak barrels.
F: Good medium finish, true to form.
C: Active, high calibre presentation, clean with grit and determination. Certainly improved after opening. I liked this the first time i tried it and now i like it even more. Simple stuff made and matured well.

    Scores a B-

    Revisit 2015

N: Clean and rounded, light wood fungal and a yes, some E150a to my taste.

T: Toasted, woody, smoked liqueur, equally sweet and a little waxy. Really tasty cask character. A little ‘blended’ by nature.

F: Lightning quick finish but not before rich mocha enters and leads onto lush boozy chocolate - with water that is.

C: Good all-rounder with nice character/age. Happy drinking.

    Scores a C+

A pleasant and easy drinking whisky.  The best one from this distillery that I have tasted so far.
    • Nose
Mellow, aromatic, fruity and fresh at first nosing. On the fruity side there are apples, citrus aromas and "Juicy Fruit" chewing gum. In addition there is vanilla and caramel, rooibos tea, malt and a whiff of violets. Nice and pleasant.
    • Taste
Smooth, sweet and mostly pleasant. Slightly malty with oranges, chewing gum and caramel. Ginger Ale. In my opinion a little bit indefinite, watery and bland.
    • Finish
Medium long with some pepper and oak coming up. Slightly sour reminding of apple wine, becoming dryer, but not bitter at all.

  10. Willie JJ scored this whisky 72 points Expert Senior

Not brilliant, but serious whisky nonetheless.
    • Nose
Tangerines, pear drops, refreshers and pot ale.
    • Taste
Orange, malt concentrate and burnt sugar.
    • Finish
      Slightly harsh and bitter. Peppery.
