  1. Noface83 scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

Consistent and great from start to finish. Equally intense and aromatic in all aspects with everything you can expect from a red wine barrique. Goes well without water but a few drops make it even smoother without losing flavor. The best hand-filled in a long time - a worthy festival bottling!
    • Nose
      90 90
Insanely deep red wine notes, forest fruit punch, vanilla, plums, a lot of sweetness (malt and sherbet powder with cherry flavor and a pinch of woodruff taste), light barrique wooden barrel notes. Voluminous and deep with ripe wine notes - fantastic.
It doesn't lose any of its intensity with water, but the fruity wine aromas make way for the malty light fruity distillery character.
    • Taste
      90 90
strong but creamy and supple, intense fruit aromas - again various berries and cherries and an opulent sweetness paired with subtle vanilla and wood aromas. Towards the end, the wood becomes stronger with a subtly bitter note of coffee. Intense and very drinkable despite >60%.
Even smoother with water but still full of the above flavors without much change.
    • Finish
      92 92
Long and voluminous - everything from nose and taste continues only with a little more wood along with coffee bitterness and a slight dryness. But the cherry-loli sweetness dominates. Insanity !
Infinitely long even with water and sweet with dry oak. The stuff sticks to your palate forever.
