There is no doubt about it: the Ardmore 1992 is a success in most cases. This version for Malts of Scotland proves it. Here we have a complex, interesting, balanced whisky that only wants to please you.
    • Nose
very sweet, with sweet notes including candied fruit, mango, pineapple, peach, vanilla, but also a drier and austere pan with a register of dried fruits like nuts pecan, hazelnuts or almonds. We also go through a floral / vegetal register, with notes of jasmine and mint. To top it off, peat brings here delicate notes of smoke and leather. A nice nose, complex and mastered.
    • Taste
powerful and dense. The smoke is more present and it is towards a rather spicy side that dram turns. We find in turn pepper, cinnamon but especially clove. The peat here brings a fairly austere side with notes of sand, graphite, ash, hazelnut, which brings to this Ardmore a beautiful complexity. Add to that the exotic fruits and vanilla which, although relegated to the background, bring a very pleasant sweetness.
    • Finish
intense, long, but which might have deserved a little more aromatic persistence. Here we have a clever blend of ashes, exotic fruits, spices and dried fruits. It's pleasant and effective.
