The first approach is Bowmore alone in everything.
the second approach is no Bowmore and the sherry comes to the fore, an interesting development and very tasty!

- They've done a really nice work, those guys from A.D. Rattray. Masterfully crafted (matured and blended) end product with a very good balance as a matter of fact.
Mellow. Malt, cereal, leaf tobacco, almonds, apricot preserve, vanilla ice cream.
Prunes, a touch of smoke, sugar candies, lime, peach jelly, lemon curd.
Spice, citrus, mild/sweet cigar, chocolate biscuits, peat tang, hazelnuts making way for cherrystone.
- Excellent whisky. If later batches are this good I'll be buying them.
Honey and lemon Mentholyptus, a fistful of fruit, Elastoplast and a touch of iodine. Some pear drops emerge with water.
Hot peat ash, toffee, pears smoked ham and barley. This is delicious.
Barley sugar and light sweet ash.
- Blended Malt from 4 Sherry Casks:Auchentoshan 1991 (Lowland)
Balblair 1990 (Highland)
Benriach 1989 (Speyside)
Bowmore 1991 (Islay)
