An absolutely commercial product for the masses. A good option for getting to know whisky in general (I think so), or just for drinking in company. I wouldn't buy it for myself again. The aroma here is the best thing, although I don't really want to criticize it, because the quality is quite up to par, except for the aftertaste. The balance is also not its strongest side.
    • Nose
      79 79
soft, sweetish; steamed sweet raisins, green apples, duchesse candies, sweet ripe pears, baked apples and pears; deeper - woody notes, a little vanilla, green branches and a little fresh grass. Citrus in the background. The aroma is not bad.
However, as the bottle oxidizes, the sherry influence becomes less and less and is not noticeable at the end. The bourbon aging notes, on the contrary, become more and more apparent - there are noticeably more citrus and spices, the aroma is sharper than immediately after opening the bottle.
    • Taste
      77 77
slightly alcoholic; black pepper, wood, then dried fruit sweetness (mostly raisins again), but not for long, a little honey is also felt. The sweetness flows into woody astringency and a slight itch of citrus (zest) and ginger.
      The body is liquid.
    • Finish
      76 76
shorter than average; oak, ginger, fading citrus, paper at the end (very strange).
In one of the last drams there was a hint of sunflower oil. Also not very clear where it was from.. But immediately after opening the bottle there was no such thing.
