    • Nose
Honey, floral, grind coconut flakes, metallic paint
    • Taste
Honey, fruity, some peat, pepper. Combine the spiciness and fruitiness, we get pineapple. Some rotten coconut sourness?
    • Finish
      Medium long, with pineapple

Not that much spice in the nose actually. The vanilla keeps them at the background. Some wax. Warm apple juice. Some earthy notes.

Gentle, clean arrival, with them apples again.

Then the peppery spices come in.

A lot of spices in the finish. Turns into bitter oranges.

  7. Laird Blonag scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

A nice, varied dram that does not overwhelm. Beautiful fruit notes, neat spice from the barrel wall and light smoke. A little more intensity and a little more volume would have done the bottling but good.
    • Nose
Dried fruits, honey cake, a little toasted malt, orange peel, light brandy bean, some cinnamon, freshly ground, green pepper and subtle smoke in the background.
    • Taste
First fruity-sweet, then light onset with medium tannins. Candied pineapple, orange zest, harsh oak, some cocoa, cinnamon, gingerbread spice, burnt pie dough and light smoke (ash).
    • Finish
Medium. Fruity sweetness (orange, cranberry, dried apricots) paired with light oak. Some dark chocolate (about 67%), cinnamon and traces of nougat. The smoke is almost imperceptible.

Good blended malt with a spicy, slightly peppery note and surprisingly strong for its 40%.
