- A great expression!
- Colour : Dark gold
Taste : Velvety spicy and slightly sweet
Smell : Palette of spices and caramel
- For me the least impressive in the River Collection series. It just doesn't quite deliver, because after the nose it just gets worse. Pity!
Buttery and malty, seems to be Dalmore's signature nowadays. A bit salty, soft sherry and bourbon/vanilla sweetness. A bit of a coffee note as well.
A bit thick, remarkably fresh. Then a dull, flat note that I can't place. This is off-putting. A peculiar bitter note as well. Perhaps a bit of sulphur here.
A slight bitter note leads in a vanilla or chocolate sweet, malty finish. Not long.
- The first edition of Dalmore`s Dee Dram raised £35k towards conservation of the river - this is the second edition and is now part of an expanded Rivers Collection including the Tay, Tweed and Spey with the aim of raising up to £400k. Matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, this is a worthy dram indeed. TWE
