Glen Ord is not a distillery that many have on their radar. When I visited in 2012 I had the same impression. However, some bottlings have made me rethink. Glen Ord can be delicious.

The first smell already suggests: It will be powerful, it will be fruity. Dark berries and a clear, sweet note are in the glass. In the second approach I have nice raisins followed by light wood aromas, vinegar and spices.

For his 8 years he got a really great mark at the finish.

Would you like something sweet and sour? If you don't like the combination, you should stop reading now. I find that delicious.

The whisky is velvety soft in the mouth and heralds a full-bodied taste experience. Dried fruits, a hint of chocolate and a touch of pepper complete this appearance.

The whisky stays medium long, maybe a my long this taste experience is preserved.

The sweetness overlaps the sour note, which I would like to emphasize as positive. At the very end I have a hint of liquorice. It's really great.
