    SMWS Tasting Notes

    Colour: Mid gold

The panel were surprised at the spiciness of the nose. The initial notes found were pine needles, nectarines and vanilla. The Australian thought it reminded her of “My dad’s 70s cologne”. There was also light wood sap found. An extremely sweet taste of icing sugar, fudge and brazil nuts had the panel nodding in agreement. Cooking apples were found in the aftertaste. Water opens up the dram dramtically - cedar wood, well polished furniture, candlewax and vanilla. More spice was found on the palate with an oily mouthfeel and a fresh menthol finish. From one of only two surviving distilleries in the city of Glasgow.
