  1. JoshNRW scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

The whisky really impressed me. I find the profile with the tropical fruits, the ripe sweetness, the salty aromas and the hardly any smoke unique and uniquely beautiful. And I find it really exciting that after 31 years no wood can be found and at almost 50 percent such a soft whisky comes out. For me, next to the 40yo Laphroaig, the most impressive whisky of the evening. Brilliant!

Beautiful lush fruity nose with lots of soft and ripe sweetness. You can hardly recognize it as an Islay whisky, most likely because of the medicinally tingling salt note. It almost goes in the direction of a tropical fruit punch with a ripe banana in the middle.

Crazy that he has over 49 percent; it is totally voluminous, fruity and yet so light.

Wow, just super intensely delicious, this tingling fruit punch that I only find in whiskys like this. Slight fruit sweetness, tropical fruits, no off notes or alcohol sting (at almost 50 percent). These are also the aromas on the palate, the sweetness, which unfortunately can only be found in whiskys in this price range. I think 450 euros for this is still cheap.

Because the whisky is so incredibly tasty on the palate and the key data brings so much quality with it, the mouthfeel is to close your eyes and enjoy. This fine sweetness with the minimal salty aromas lingers on the palate for a very long time. I can't find any wood here (after 31 years) and could have this flavor on my palate all the time.
