- A very special dram like I've never had it before, already "very" barrel-heavy, but WOW what a barrel !! First nose: Sherry, yes the sherry drink, better than having a top Oloroso in your glass, maybe not everyone likes that, I think it's a terrific experience, something extraordinary. After 10-20 minutes the sherry binds nicely. Of course not much of the distillate can be seen, but since it's a "secret", it doesn't matter :-)
- Compared with the last 26yo (2020) of EVWC (WB171413), i would say it come from the same distillery, pretty obvious to me.
This one is freshly opened, so it will need time, the 2020 is open since almost one year now, so ...
The nose is not that deep and round, but even if the ABV is really higher, the alcool integration is so nice as always with EVWC.
The mouth still very tasty like his brother, but this one is not that rounded and complex, but still really enjoyable.
The finish makes the big difference to me, this one quit the bitterness and the kind of beautiful smoke we had on the 2020.
A beautiful selection again and again from EVWC, with another really good dram here.
Need to come back on it after some month opened for sure, and taste how he changed.
