Self-filling patch shield. I like to go blind - the tomatin (with whisky hoard) was really outstanding.
And I won't be disappointed. A consistently successful bottling. I like it undiluted even better despite 57.3%.
    • Nose
Patience is good for him. Sweet, berry compote, figs, sulphurized raisins, cooling, alcohol noticeable as expected. Once you get into it, the berries become even more dominant.
With water it loses the cooling alcohol note, but also some intensity of the berries.
    • Taste
Not too dominant alcohol, pleasing for 57.3%, the berries are complemented by dark chocolate. Really good balance of sweetness, spice and fruit.
      Spicy and acidic with water.
    • Finish
A slight acidity, typical of Arran, but captured particularly well here. Present and still berry, vanilla & red fruit jelly. The dark chocolate also plays along.

Young, and therefore a little uncut whisky.
    • Nose
      86 86
Sweet, dry, prunes, pollen from dried petals
    • Taste
      85 85
Sweet, bright, plum and tea leaves, a little sugary, viscous.
    • Finish
      86 86
      Sweet, dusty; tart, medium duration.

Aroma: slightly closed, sweetish. Minerality, malt notes, spicy spices.
We stood and breathed ... Red berries, cranberry juice, pleasant perfume history, Bubble Gum, ripe apple, honey, menthol note of freshness.
Taste: sweet, bright. Berry-fruity theme, minerality, honey theme, spicy spice, maltiness, creaminess, pleasant perfume note, a little ginger and hot pepper.
Finish: long lasting, sweet. Berry notes, milk chocolate, vanilla, spices.

Conclusion: Quite light and fresh Arran, without the excessive weight of sherry inherent in releases with low aging. Angles, roughness, a poor palette of aromas and tastes, all this is here, in spite of this, it turned out to be a product with which you can tastefully and pleasantly while away the evening.

Nose: at first a little closed, but then opens nicely; flowery, pears and apples, tangerines, lime, figs, a few dates and raisins, hazelnuts, honey, some milk chocolate

Palate: creamy-sweet, tangy, light bite from alcohol, tangerine, lime, pears, apples, some milk chocolate, figs, a few dates and raisins, hazelnuts, honey

Finish: medium-long, warm, somewhat astringent, tangerine, pears, hazelnuts, a few raisins and milk chocolate

Evaluation: it is good, but it can't really pick me up, the alcohol is a bit too dominant and the aromas a bit too inharmonious. Flowery, mandarins, figs, hazelnuts and milk chocolate; becomes milder, nuttier and more chocolatier with water, but also not necessarily more harmonious.

    6/10 or 86/100
