And I won't be disappointed. A consistently successful bottling. I like it undiluted even better despite 57.3%.
Patience is good for him. Sweet, berry compote, figs, sulphurized raisins, cooling, alcohol noticeable as expected. Once you get into it, the berries become even more dominant.
With water it loses the cooling alcohol note, but also some intensity of the berries.
Not too dominant alcohol, pleasing for 57.3%, the berries are complemented by dark chocolate. Really good balance of sweetness, spice and fruit.
Spicy and acidic with water.
A slight acidity, typical of Arran, but captured particularly well here. Present and still berry, vanilla & red fruit jelly. The dark chocolate also plays along.
