    Blind Tasting Notes

The first holiday whiskey from the whiskey hoard smells of nuts, almonds and marzipan. There's a bit of stickiness left over from the bourbon maturation, but I'll say it kindly: corn syrup...because it's not really sticky. But it will be sweet, says the nose. Very cute.

On the palate, the dram is really spicy at first, going sweet and peppery at the same time, followed by violets and liquorice. Cool.

In the medium-long finish there are mainly liquorice and floral notes.

But now I want to know what that is. I was sort of at Bowmore. But so little smoke?

No smoke in the nose or taste. Clearly some sweetness from the grain. What I like the most was that it was like having some fruity chewing gum in your glass.

    nose:
smoke, fresh peat, vanilla, varnish, eucalyptus, vegetal
    basket of flower petals
    blocked:
the fruity and peppery peat, strange association with a little liquorice now
it's soft, violet in color, in perfume, intense, the peat becomes less pregnant, but very marked with fruits cooked on orange citrus fruits, exotic fruits
there is a pastry return, soft, liquoricey and sweet, on a Candie candy, the ashes appear
wood soaked in fruit syrup, it becomes very pleasant despite the added bitterness on the almond kernel.
    final:
peppery, peat and vanilla there with a basket of fruit, leaves, flowers with their pistils, striking.

Decent sipper, but not peaty at all.
It's the story of that whisky that matters.
