very nice aroma in the nose, there is a bit of everything ... you could just smell it for over an hour.
The taste is then no longer quite as diverse; rather concentrated on the spice and nut aroma of the sherry note.
All in all well done - could only use more depth in the taste and especially in the finish. Then you realize that it's only been 9 years.

    • Nose
      88 88
cooked fruit salad (juicy apricot, plum, raisin, pear), the sherry comes through gently, a certain nutty note resonates in the background.
The sweetness of honey and caramel, but then again the sweetness of the different fruits ... nice, varied game.
The nut flavors are becoming more and more evident: hazelnut and even stronger walnut.
After the nut aromas become clearer, there is a (slightly) floral aroma in the background.
In addition, a whole spice mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, lovage and a little spice from a charred oak.
Every now and then an alcoholic / spicy note stings your nose briefly; but overall the alcohol is well integrated.
    • Taste
      84 84
spicy start, it is immediately present on the tongue. It becomes more viscous, spices everywhere, the fruits are pushed into the background.
The sherry with the nut aroma prevails. Tingling sharpness on the tongue, then notices the "only" nine years.
second sip: spicy again, a peppery note continues to push through, it becomes a bit tart (but not bitter).
The tart note goes in the direction of dark / dark chocolate.
    • Finish
      82 82
bitter notes take over, nut aroma and spices stay on the tongue for a while ... which continues to struggle with the alcohol (could be the day's form).
A little oak, spice and the dark chocolate note ... and then it's gone; he lacks age.
