    ... and not everything was better in the past!
    Nevertheless, a very good Bowmore
    • Nose
      spicy oak, vanilla, wet wood, low smoke;
    • Taste
      very creamy, soft, mild onset, caramel, fudge, light to medium smoke aromas;
    • Finish
      short soft finish, medium smoky finish;

    This bottle is worth to buy. It takes a bit time until it reveals the fruity flavours.

    Please note that there are several versions of the 17year old around. This note refers to a early 90 ies bottling, no icons on the backside of the bottle!! Clear print in bright colours!

    Tube doesnt have the *Wine and spirits competetion" logo on top of the tube!
    • Nose
      slightly smoky, earthy, a bit dry on first nosing. later fruity flavours appear, maybe quinces and mango
    • Taste
      slightly sherried flavours, nutty flavours, forest earth, peat, toffee
    • Finish
      elegent smoke, toffee

  4. Cicero did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    amazingly floral for 17 years
    the flowering flower meadow (heather?) is the dominant component, both in aroma and in taste
    Acts indeed a little artificial or perfumed
    • Nose
      only very subtle smoke, a lot of salty sea water, violet oil I would not say, rather a very fragrant flower meadow, a bit fruity, but what fruit, hard to say ... a mixture of sour green apple and a sweet yellow pear ...
    • Taste
      the smoke is stronger than in the nose, a sweet kick, but it wears off immediately, a hint of smoke, a pinch of spices and all the while the various flavors are accompanied by a certain floral touch ... yes, so must a flowering Meadow taste
    • Finish
      the finish becomes dry and the tongue sticks even a little on the palate, a certain fuzziness develops

    how can I get rid of this taste in my mouth?
    • Nose
    • Finish
      kurz bis mittel
      ein Nachgeschmack vom Mund
      Schokolade, Malzsüße, Aprikosen, Rauch
      immer wieder das Veilchenöl
      das noch immer am Gaumen klebt
