Whisky Reviews for Glendronach 15-year-old

sweetness, banana, toffee, citrus, orange, vanilla, grapes
oily, sweet, pear, vanilla, pepper, raisins, apricot, little sour, mandarin, pepper, lychees
- As a GD lover, this malt looks a bit pale, starts with a great nose, palate and finish do not offer the expected GD quality;
First a dry sweetness (I think of cognac!) Sprinkled with light bitterness, roasted aromas, brown melted butter, a distinct note of overripe fruit, maybe a browned banana, brown sugar, (milk) chocolate;
Fruity and soft onset, looks very light, somewhere hidden a lemon note, bright apples join it, ripe white Weintrauen, a subtle dry mouthfeel occurs;
Medium or even short with a soft fruit note (white grapes are now clearer), soft and / or unspectacular;
- Whisky tasting: Glendronach 15 years Moscatel finish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms6Mgm0LTgI
Light grapes, some lemon. Pineapple, melon, marzipan. Damp grass.
Again bright grapes. Tropical fruits, pineapple.
- Just a dream. Complex. Drinkable. Too bad he does not exist anymore. One of the few other Moscatel finishes is the Royal Lochnagar Distillers Edition, but in terms of complexity it does not come close to here.
Pineapple, cherries, hints of leather and cigar box. Milk chocolate, balsamic cream, seasoning, cinnamon and cloves. With some water more fruit: nectarine and apricot
Intensive. Cedar wood, leather, weak organic (fleshy?) Note, dried apricots, oranges, tobacco, hints of smoke, nutmeg. Fruity wine notes come through with water - Muskateller could get there, at least I think.
The wine notes sound slow, dry, oak, stone fruit, plum. Long.
- Very tasty, overripe compote.
Orange blossom, vanilla, toffee, apricot, marzipan, citrus, nutmeg, brown sugar
Liqueur-like, sweet, overripe plums & tangerines, but also tropical, creamy, vanilla, toeffee and raisin follow, then comes nutmeg and pepper
Medium to long, jam, apricot, a bit spicy oak stay
