Well, we have before us an aged whisky with a complex composition, a rich palette of derivatives, subtle, playing with many shades and half-tones, deep, but slightly inconsistent with expectations in general. The aroma is excellent, this is by far the best part of this release, it is multi-dimensional, elegant, sophisticated and moving on to the first sip we are waiting for the celebration to continue, but we get a significantly reduced range of shades with a strong bias towards woody tones, sweetness is reduced to a minimum, this is not a tragedy, but no less, and then the finish, and it unfortunately continues the negative trend - a little simpler, a little less varied, a little less rich. What in the end is an excellent, complex, comprehensive release with some shortcomings, we won’t even touch on the issue of price, this is already a 100% investment product.
    • Nose
Open, dry, notes of raisins and dried grapes, old spiced wood, antique shop, florals with a slight perfume influence, sweet creamy honey tones, Montpensier candies, some old leather goods and pipe tobacco, dried raspberries, melon, apricots, candied kumquats, dried banana.
    • Taste
Soft, rich, wood dominates here, spicy, tart; tobacco, antique shades, spices - coriander, cumin; mineral motifs appear, there is practically no sweetness, barely noticeable creamy notes slip through from time to time, nothing more; dry herbs and potion tones, tarragon,
    • Finish
Spicy, refreshing, leather goods, spicy oak, tobacco leaf, astringency of young bark, cumin, coriander, medicinal shades.

The aroma is simply amazing! A very delicate delicate berry-fruity aroma for every taste - from sweet fresh to compote and dried fruits, in the form of candied jam and to tropical fruits, all kinds of shades of sweet (so to speak). You can sit on the scent forever! Tobacco notes were added to the empty glass.
Taste - perfectly continues the aroma, luxurious, pleasant tanning is added. But the thought slipped through that probably there was not enough fortress ..
The finish - yes, indeed, here the lack of strength is felt to the maximum, the finish is rather short for such a sample, it sags compared to the aroma / taste (although we have to admit that the level was set very high).
All in all, a terrific whisky, I don't think you see that often these days. I was a little upset by the finish, all the same, it’s a little bit lacking in degree (I think 46-47% would be ideal), because of this I had to lower the rating, it’s even a pity a little, the potential is masterpiece, but unfortunately not fully realized ...
