  1. larswehmeier scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Strong, relatively young bottled grain with an intense finish. The sweet aromas of the grain harmonize well with the fruity tones of the red wine. Dangerously drinkable despite the heavy alcohol content.
    • Nose
      84 84
First, a large portion of alcohol in the nose. After this has evaporated, there is a lot of sweet grain, malt and caramel. Definitely a grain, but of the good kind. The red fruits and some leather from the red wine barrel then slide over it.

Creamy consistency. The alcohol is better integrated in the taste than in the nose. Here, too, the grain aromas show up first before the red wine barrels develop their full strength. Malt. Caramel, sweet grape juice. Tannins.
    • Finish

Warming. Pleasantly dry and tannic. But overall rather short.
