A pleasantly smoky whisky with a nice sweetness, easy to drink, no missing notes but also not so complex. I found it interesting that the smoke note goes a bit in the direction of Ardbeg.
    • Nose
      84 84
Clear smoky notes, some vanilla, sweetness, slightly tropical fruits. Balanced.
    • Taste
      85 85
Pleasant smoke and a lot of sweetness in the taste, some vanilla, citrus notes and pepper. A few herbal notes come through far back.
    • Finish
      82 82
Rather short and with cold smoke, hardly any spice or fruit. Dry with some rubber.

Slightly fruity notes with a pleasant smoke and a dry oak note.
    • Taste
      80 80
Complex with clear oak barrel influences. Add green apples, oranges, plums and the sweetness of Turkish honey. There's a weird smokiness about everything.
    • Finish
      78 78
Long-lasting, slightly salty, complex and pleasant.

  5. SimonOHA scored this whisky 79 points Expert Senior

Drinkable (it stings a bit anyway), but without any interest.
    • Nose
Fresh nose on peach, peat in the form of a fresh and herbaceous gum for me. Vanilla.
    • Taste
Oily mouth. Honey and smoke. Lemony and spicy.
    • Finish
Finish on smoked black tea (low end), worn rubber.

  6. Baanaanaabob scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Tobacco, yellow fruits, cabbage, bit of peat, not very interesting

Not uninteresting but not very drinkable for me
    • Nose

Little fruity, peach, banana, honeydew, whiffs of smoke, tobacco, some herbs
    • Taste
      79 79
Oily, little punchy, honey, good sweetness, some peat, black tea, herbs, cooked cabbage, cigar tobacco
    • Finish
      76 76
Medium long, warm, little peaty, black tea, herbs, more cigar tobacco and ashes

  8. Ringstone scored this whisky 75 points Expert Junior

Smoky and fruity nose, okay. Spicy and smoky on the palate, slightly earthy with acidity. A lot of bitterness remains in the finish.
